Research. Ten years across behavioral, animal, and computational neuroscience (undergraduate) and clinical data research (post-graduate). Extensive manuscript writing; familiar with lab meetings, deadlines, presentations, and abstracts.

Retrospective outcomes study of surgical utilization, access inequality (PAI), and market concentration (HHI), using ICD-10-PCS mapping and multivariable regression in Stata. Manuscript in preparation.

Medical Student Research Experience — Maimonides Medical Center
Summer 2024

Analyzed adverse event profiles of the SynchroSeal and Vessel Sealer Extend devices used to seal blood vessels in robotic surgery. Presented at the Society of Urologic Robotic Surgeons Focal Therapy conference and at regional surgical meetings.

Spring 2021 – Spring 2023

Examined differences in MRI functional connectivity between the anterior insula and two neural networks — salience and ventral attention — in autistic people, correlating atypicality with symptom presence and severity. Wrote and defended a 50+ page honors thesis; presented at symposia.

Epilepsy research
Summer 2017 – Spring 2019

Ran experiments independently in genetically modified mice studying myeloid cell activation and its impact on status epilepticus, using PCR and gene expression analysis; also worked on traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic epilepsy. Presented repeatedly at symposia and received distinction.
